Teleosis Institute is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization dedicated to deepening the expanding field of Integrative Health and Medicine.
Teleosis Institute is dedicated to Coaching and The Healing Arts.
After observing the absence of the healthcare industry in discussions of a sustainable future, Dr. Joel Kreisberg DC founded the Teleosis Institute in 2004. Teleosis is a Greek term for “greater self-realization”. Dr. Kreisberg was responsible for advancing novel and overlooked healing practices, such as homeopathy, health coaching, and flower essence therapy. His work integrated the principles of sustainable medicine, while empowering health providers to provide the leadership necessary to practice medicine sustainably. Between 2004 and 2012, Teleosis’s programs included the Green Health Care Program, which consulted with community clinics, the Leadership and Green Health Care Program, which trained over 200 health professionals in sustainability and health care, and the Green Pharmacy Program, which became actively involved with the Alameda County Safe Meds Coalition. At Teleosis, deepening of our skills as a healer involves working with our own story, finding meaning and compassion in a community of health professionals committed to lifelong learning.
After becoming a Certified Integral Master Coach™ through Integral Coaching Canada in 2012, Dr. Kreisberg began teaching health coaching at Maryland University of Integrative Health. Recognizing the need for more advance training, Dr. Kreisberg and his colleague, Creative Director Regge Marra, launched the current programs in Narrative Health Coaching and Narrative Healing .
Throughout her life, Luisa Kreisberg (1934-2007) continuously supported innovation and creativity. Her work as a cultural advocate greatly impacted the extend world of art and architecture. Her legacy continues through the ongoing support of social innovation through the Luisa Kreisberg Family Foundation. We gratefully acknowledge ongoing support of our programs through her legacy foundation. Luisa and her husband Barry Kreisberg were devoted to a peaceful and just world. Our work is dedicated to their memory.
